Mike Baehr , Regional Director – mbaehr@AirSharesElite.com
Mike Baehr has had an interest in aviation since he was young. He acquired his private pilot’s license at age nineteen. In 1983 he graduated from medical school at Ohio State University. After three years of residency at Mt Carmel Medical Center in family medicine, Dr. Baehr opened a solo family medical practice in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Mike managed and expanded the office into a seven provider multi–million dollar practice. He is currently the senior managing partner of Family Physician of Gahanna and the practice continues to grow and thrive under his management.
Mike also is an FAA Certified Senior Medical Examiner. He serves as the company physician of the largest fractional ownership company in business jet aircraft.
In 2002 Mike purchased his first Cirrus SR22 and has accumulated over 500 hours flying time. He received his Instrument Rating prior to purchasing the Cirrus SR22 and spends at least 15% of his flight time in further training and proficiency. Mike is very familiar with what is required to manage the needs and upkeep of Cirrus aircraft.
Mike became interested in extending the concept of AirShares ownership to general aviation four years ago; in order to succeed, he has put together an unprecedented team to ensure AirShares Elite Ohio’s success. He plans on making AirShares Elite Ohio his second successful business.
Davyd Miller, Vice President of Sales and Business Development – dmiller@AirSharesElite.com
Davyd Miller has a great appreciation and interest in aviation for more than 20 years beginning with his introduction to private aviation at The Ohio State University Airport. Davyd’s private aviation experience includes light Cessna aircraft, Piper Cherokee, Piper Twin Seneca, and Piper Turbo Arrow.
In addition to Davyd’s passion for the freedom of flight and private aviation, he brings an extensive and successful corporate experience to the AirSharesElite team. He’s been an executive leader and business owner serving in the commercial and residential real estate industries, as well as the banking industry focusing on private client lending and investment banking.
Davyd brings a unique combination of business expertise, love for flying, and appreciation for the many personal and professional benefits that come with shared aircraft ownership. He looks forward to bringing his unique business and aviation perspective to add-value to current and prospective AirSharesElite owners and partners.
Outside the office and his aircraft, Davyd spends a lot of his time serving in the community. His community service has included Mayor of the Village of Shawnee Hills, serving on the Buckeye Boys Ranch Board of Trustees and United Way’s Young Leadership Group, and being a member of the OSU Buckeye and President’s Club.
Jim Betounes, Regional Chief Pilot - jbetounes@AirSharesElite.com
Jim Betounes has always been fascinated by airplanes. He began The Ohio State Aviation program in 1988 and graduated in 1991 with a BS degree in Aircraft Systems. While at OSU he competed in NIFA (National Intercollegiate Flying Association) and also coached the team while working as a flight instructor for Ohio State.
After leaving Ohio State he was a FAR135 Captain hauling checks at night and then worked for a consulting firm that primarily did accident investigation. In 1998 he helped start a FAR Part 141 flight school and is currently the Chief Flight Instructor.
He first flew a Cirrus when a student decided to purchase one, traveling to Duluth to help pick it up. In 2004 it was back to Duluth for CSIP training. Jim enjoys the Cirrus and he hopes to help ensure that all AirShares Elite owners are the best trained and safest pilots flying.
